CLERMONT-FERRAND is the capital town of the "le Puy-de-Dome" region and the largest town in the Auvergne. Built at the base of the volcanic mountain "Puy-de Dome" and other numerous extinct volcanoes, with its majestic black cathedral. |

MONTLUCON Is the second largest town in the Auvergne in the region of "Allier" and is only 16 miles from our property. Situated in the land of the Bourbonnais, Moyan-age architecture makes up this medieval city which is dominated by the chateau. |

FOREST of TRONCAIS. The largest oak forest in Europe, with the lakes St Bonnet (45ha) and Piro (78ha) where you are able to enjoy walking, cycling, swimming, boating, pedalos, fishing, sail boarding etc. |

FESTIVALS & FETES These take place at weekends throughout the summer in the surrounding villages and towns and many are quite spectacular including; Craft, Agricultural, Medieval, Wine tasting, Cycle races, Music, Choral, Dancing Arts. |

ACTIVITIES; In addition to our private fishing lake, there are many others, In addition to our swimming pool, you are able to swim, sailboard, fish, In two local municipal lakes most of which have purpose built beach and picnic areas. |

BIRD SPECIES; There are many species of birds in the area. Each year our lake attracts; Herons, Kingfishers, Reed buntings, Mallards, Buzzards, Great crested Grebe, Wagtails, Wrens, swallows, House martins, Woodpecker, to name but a few. |

MARKETS; Markets are very much part of the French way of life and most days one is able to find a market in one of the surrounding villages or towns. |

GASTRONOMY; Taste the specialities of the Auvergne in the many Auberges. |

A family fishing holiday. Although set in the heart of rural France, the area offers a bounty of activities to participate in: fishing in our private lake as well as possible fishing in other lakes. Swimming and other water sports, golf, tennis, pony clubs, canoeing, rambling, special designated walks, bird watching ( We have had an Ospray visit for the past 4 years in October ). Painting and much more. The gites are set close to our lake and reflects closely the charms of Rural France, with distant views of "charolais " cows , this is the famous CHAROLAIS country and farmers passing our doors daily in their tractors adding to the charm of being in Rural France. The gites are totally self contained and have been luxuriously converted to a high standard from original stables. Set in grounds of 23 acres bordering our 7 hectare private lake which is stocked with various fish.
There is immediate access to a lakeside garden, large separate terrace and swimming pool area. Includes garden furniture and barbecue.
No 1 Gite - Sleeps 2
Kitchen/diner, fully equipped, full cooker, washing machine, fridge. Door to balcony with table and chairs, overlooking (side on) lake.
Living room, with sofa, chairs, coffee table, cabinet etc, TV. Side on lake view
Bedroom - Double bed, side on lake view.
Shower room. WC. Basin. Heater. Wall cabinet/shaver point.
No 2 Gite - Sleeps 2/3
Kitchen/diner, fully equipped, full cooker, washing machine, fridge, overlooking lake.
Living room, split level living room with balustrade stairs leading up from kitchen. Wonderful lake views, TV.
Bedroom 1 - Double, bedroom 2 - single, with lake views
Shower room. WC. Basin Heater, wall cabinet, wall shaver point.
No 3 Gite - Sleeps 2
Own independent entrance, passage (storage facility ie cycles etc).
Stairs leading to first floor, second private entrance to passage leading to large kitchen/diner. Fully equipped. Full cooker, washing machine, fridge, TV. Country views.
Separate lounge. Country views.
Bedroom - 2 single beds, country views
ALL THE GITES
Are electric ie ovens, hot water, independent radiators and have their own independent meters. Electricity is inclusive.
